Romana Jerković is a Croatian Member of the European Parliament, medical doctor, and university professor, currently serving as Vice-Chair of the Committee on Public Health. With a longstanding career in politics at both national and European levels, she is committed to strengthening EU health policy, with a particular focus on prevention, early diagnosis, and equitable access to treatment. In the European Parliament, she closely monitors the implementation of Europe’s Beating Cancer Plan and actively advocates for reducing health inequalities between Western and Eastern Member States. Her work consistently highlights the need for stronger EU action to ensure equal access to quality care and medical innovation.
