Matt has spent twenty years advising businesses, political parties, government leaders and CEOs on campaign strategy and messaging, with a particular focus on trust and brand reputation.
Matt set up campaigns and research firm Message House in 2013. The company uses research tools like polls, interviews and focus groups to help test and improve campaigns, working around the world and across a wide range of sectors including technology, healthcare, education, FMCG and energy.
Previously he was UK CEO of international PR firm Burson-Marsteller and he also set up and ran the EMEA office of Penn, Schoen and Berland, the global research firm.
Matt has also worked at a senior level in politics as General Secretary of the British Labour Party. Matt was responsible for the day-to-day management of the political campaigns and organisation of the party in the period running up to and including the 2005 UK General Election, where Tony Blair won an historic third term.
