Addressing the growing challenges in the healthcare system requires stronger collaboration among stakeholders and continuous knowledge exchange. An interdisciplinary approach is becoming essential for finding sustainable solutions and improving the quality of care. The HealthComm Forum, an event dedicated to communication and innovation in healthcare, has for the third consecutive year brought together experts, institutions, and organizations with the aim of fostering dialogue and developing new approaches to health policy and practice.
This year, among the Forum’s partners is the Croatian Pharmaceutical Society. Its Executive Director, Dario Briški, shared with us his thoughts on the importance of professional development, stakeholder collaboration, and strengthening the role of pharmacists in modern society. We spoke about their contribution to improving the healthcare system, as well as the values promoted by the HealthComm Forum.
HealthComm Forum fosters interdisciplinary cooperation among key stakeholders in healthcare, initiates innovation, and encourages joint efforts to find solutions to problems within the healthcare system. Creative public discussions generate initiatives for the development of new strategies, as well as the identification of issues and shortcomings in the system. The exchange of new knowledge and experience is of great importance for the professional development of Forum participants. The ultimate goal of the Forum is to develop a sustainable and efficient healthcare system that we all strive for.
As one of the most important professional organizations in the healthcare sector, the Croatian Pharmaceutical Society has for many years contributed to the development of the pharmacy profession and public health through education and the promotion of the pharmacist’s role. Briški emphasizes the importance of working together to safeguard the health of the community:
The development of pharmaceutical care, disease prevention, and the improvement of physical and mental health are priorities of pharmacy. Only interdisciplinary collaboration can lead to high-quality and comprehensive healthcare. A unified healthcare system, interconnected stakeholders, prevention, and health promotion are prerequisites for raising the quality of healthcare services.
