Assistant professor dr. Branko Gabrovec graduated on the topic of logistical processes in healthcare, received his master’s degree on the topic of user satisfaction and service quality, and obtained his doctorate in the field of healthcare system organization. He began his professional career in a secondary level healthcare hospital, continued at the primary level, and since 2014, he has been working at the tertiary level at the National Institute of Public Health. At the University of Ljubljana, he is qualified as a higher education teacher in the field of public health. He is the author of several scientific and professional works. He has led numerous research, applied, and ‘policy’ projects. His research focuses on healthcare system organization, public health, and healthy aging. He is currently serving as the Director General of the National Institute of Public Health.
